Tutorfox is a small, independent tuition company based in York, at the University campus in Heslington. Our growing team of local tutors provides personalised tuition for students across the city. How our in-person tuition works

Getting started is simple. Once you complete our parent enquiry form, we’ll review your requirements and identify suitable local tutors in York who cover your area, match your required subject and level, and have appropriate experience with your exam board or curriculum.

We also take into account availability and learning needs before recommending a suitable tutor for your child.

We always recommend starting with an initial session and go from there. This gives the student and tutor a chance to get to know each other and ensures the right fit before arranging anything longer term. This is really important as we want your child to engage well with their tutor, and to get the most out of their sessions.

In most cases, your tutor will travel to your home for your in-person sessions. All of our tutors have an enhanced DBS and are thoroughly vetted.
